Karen wrote these delightful books based on her experiences as a swimming teacher years ago. With business on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic she had the time to persuade her daughter, Jade, to illustrate them.
These books have been self published on Amazon, which means we not only wrote and illustrated them, but also became editors, graphic designers, book cover designers, kindle book creators and marketers!
The first book we published is called 'Lottie Learns to Blow Bubbles', Lottie, who loves her weekly swimming lessons, learns to overcome the fear of water on her face when she learns to blow big, noisy bubbles. The book contains easy, effective techniques portrayed in a delightful story, that can be practised at home in the bath or paddling pool.
The second instalment from the Learn to Swim with Lottie series finds Lottie facing her fears of jumping into the pool in Lottie Jumps In. Can she be as brave as she is in her dream and overcome her jumping in wobbles?
Baby Goes Swimming, is a cute story of a fun trip to the swimming pool with Mum and Dad, seen through the babies eyes.
The Very First hug was written by Karen's father John, with lots of help from Karen and illustrations by Jade, it is very much a family project!
